Trans Masc Support Group

This will be a 12-week virtual group for trans men led by a trans man that offers a safe and confidential space to connect and talk about important topics. This support group is an inviting, safe, confidential space for folks who identify as trans masc to connect with others who share this identity and are going through similar experiences. As we gather during Pride Month, this group also offers an opportunity to reflect on what pride means individually and collectively. Pride is not only a celebration of identity, but also a time to honor resilience, visibility, and community. Pride can also bring up the complexity of being seen and the pain of past struggles. Together, we’ll explore the significance of pride in our lives, both internally and externally, and the relationship we want to have with pride as trans masc people.

What to Expect

Participants will use group dynamics to:

  • receive interpersonal support and feedback on specific issues around gender

  • explore the way we want to relate to “pride” externally and internally

  • explore the role of romantic relationships and being seen

  • identify their internalized messages of oppression and explore more self-enhancing beliefs

  • explore the impact of oppressive societal beliefs and practices

  • develop a sense of personal and social power
