If you are reading this right now, it means you are curious enough to consider taking this next step into the portal of therapy! I am happy to meet you where you are and guide you through this process. The therapy portal is a space where you have the autonomy to design and customize your journey, just like the autonomy of building your own life!
About Luca
Greetings! I am a queer, trans and first generation Cuban-American. I was raised in Queens, NY and I come from a working-class single parent home. I am a bilingual therapist who values living in dignified truth. I believe we are all capable of gaining autonomy over our overly expired scripts to create the life we want to live. I believe that approaching therapy for sustainable growth and healing starts with understanding the roots of yourself – identifying personal trauma and patterns, intergenerational history, and how systematic harms of white-supremacy have contributed to the versions of ourselves that no longer serve us. To achieve transformational healing, we need to be in community and in relation with others – it all starts with a seed of curiosity.
Working with Luca
My therapeutic approach is through a community-oriented, collaborative, anarchist and accountable lens. I believe that the first day you show up to therapy, you plant the seed towards a prosperous, authentic and abundant life. I utilize different tools such as: relational therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), humanistic therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness through movement to assist in germination for growth. I hold the utmost priority in sharing the weight of what holds you back in your power. I will collaborate with you in fostering your individualized healing balm for your wounds, the strength in your vocal cords to empower your voice and build relationships that align with your values. When you work with me, you will have a therapeutic alliance with someone who is empathetic, empowering, and will challenge you to be unapologetically you.
