Hannah Rieder, LMSW
Therapist
Pronouns: she/her/hers
Do you want to meet yourself on a deeper level, or crave sustainable change in your life? Do you struggle with how to build a “life worth living” while navigating systems of oppression? Or maybe you’ve been in survival mode - feeling detached from yourself and the world around you - and want to feel whole again, or perhaps for the first time. Through therapy we can learn to embrace our imperfections, connect more meaningfully with ourselves and others, and uncover our truest desires.
About Hannah
As a lesbian, neurodivergent, and disabled therapist, I understand what it's like to have to find ways to carve out space for yourself in a world that wasn’t designed with you in mind, and I understand what it's like to walk through life with a mental load that nobody else can see. My experiences and identities have shaped how I see the world and approach this work. We might be a good fit if you want a genuine, human relationship, you want to be challenged, and you like directness and humor.
My approach is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and relational. I am informed by dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), psychodynamic theory, and somatics. I am someone who is deeply curious, and I love to help people find creative solutions to complex problems.
Working with Hannah
I see therapy as a collaborative process where you are the expert of your own life. What we create in the therapeutic space should draw on your own strengths and insights, be aligned with your values, and happen at a pace that feels good for you.
I’m here to witness you exactly as you are, and help you on your journey towards becoming who you want to be - whether that be by coming up with practical steps towards your life goals, or by digging deep into relationship dynamics, patterns, or limiting beliefs.
Additionally, I enjoy helping fellow polyamorous/non-monogamous folks challenge normative expectations around identity and roles so that they can build unique lives and relationships that work for them. You won’t have to fight to be understood here.
