Mindfulness and Anger

Many of our clients struggle to calm and express their feelings and feel as if they don't have a constructive relationship with their feelings. I find this particularly true when it comes to anger. We've also seen people either turn their feelings on or off, especially when they’re on they feel out of control and when they feel unsafe. There are a lot of reasons that contribute to struggling to regulate and soothe ourselves and mindfulness is great tool to help build personal capacity to engage with your emotions in a way can feel both useful and safe. Whether it be anger, sadness, fear, or happiness, feelings are useful, communicate our needs and our boundaries, and having a relationship and trust in our feelings can be very useful to our relationships with ourselves and friends, family and in partnerships.
